ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT

CityCenter™ reflects a vision of the future that combines quality of life with a commitment to sustainable design. It is one of the world's largest environmentally sustainable urban communities and is committed to maintaining elevated green standards for both today and tomorrow.

Setting a new standard for responsible growth in Las Vegas, MGM Resorts International earned six distinct Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Gold certifications for CityCenter™ from the U.S. Green Building Council. At every point, we have taken steps to achieve this goal, including the use of wood products from responsibly managed forests; high efficiency water use, both inside the building and outdoors; alternative fuel options for limousines; and an improvement of more than 30 percent in energy efficiency over standard building codes. Solidifying CityCenter's commitment to sustainability, Vdara has achieved LEED® Gold certification by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Vdara is also honored to have received a "5 Green Keys" rating, the highest honor possible from the Green Key Eco-Rating Program. This organization is the largest international program evaluating sustainable hotel operations. A total of twelve MGM Resorts International properties were distinguished with Green Key designation for "green" business operations. Only Vdara, ARIA Resort & Casino and Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino earned the top rating, a certification level achieved by only about one percent of all hotels rated by this group.

Green Key evaluates hotels on a scale of 1 to 5 Keys, with 5 Keys being the highest ranking. Results are based on a comprehensive evaluation of the hotel's sustainability efforts. Our resort and ARIA are the first in Nevada to receive a 5 Green Keys rating which is recognized by major travel services including AAA, Travelocity and Expedia.
